The Pocket Clarinet is the latest addition to the Prodige student instrument range. This surprising instrument is the product of 3 years of research and development by the experts at Buffet Crampon France and Germany in partnership with the LIAMFI joint laboratory in Marseille (France). It will enable even the youngest student musician to learn to play on a real, single-reed musical instrument, where the sound is produced by a Bb clarinet mouthpiece and resonates in a body made of Mozambique grenadilla wood (Dalbergia melanoxylon).

Particular care has been taken in the design of the bore and tone holes to ensure a balanced, well-tuned sound throughout the range. The Prodige Pocket Clarinet is light and easy to handle. It is equipped with an adjustable thumb rest to optimise stability while playing and to allow children to familiarise themselves with the feel for when they graduate to their future Bb clarinet.
