フランスの楽器職人、ドゥニ・ビュッフェ=オージェはパリ第2区のパッサージュ・デュ・グラン・セルフに自らの工房を立ち上げました。彼は、13のキイを持つ優れたクラリネットを製作したことで、またたく間に音楽界で名の知れた人物となりました。

1836

ドゥニの息子であるジャン=ルイ・ビュッフェが、1836年にゾエ・クランポン嬢と結婚したことで、のちに広く名を知られる〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉ブランドが誕生しました。

1844

現在使用されているロゴ・マークが誕生しました。このロゴ・マークは〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉が製造するすべての楽器に記されています。

1850

この年には、フランス イヴリーヌ県のマント・ラ・ヴィルに〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉のアトリエ兼工場が設立され、さらに〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉によるベーム・システムのクラリネットが誕生しました。

ベルギーの楽器職人 アドルフ・サックスがサクソフォーンを発明した20年後のこの年、〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉初のサクソフォーンが製造されました。

1889

〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉はパリ万博において数多くの賞を受賞しました。

1900

この年の万国博覧会で、〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉と〈イヴェット&シェーファー〉は226本にもおよぶ木管楽器と金管楽器を展示しました。中でも金属製コントラ・バスーンは注目の的となりました。

〈イヴェット&シェーファー〉の当時の製品カタログには、以下の楽器が掲載されていました。

〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉はアメリカ市場において最大のシェアを獲得し、クラリネット製造における世界のリーダーとしての地位を確立しました。

Robert Carrée joins Buffet Crampon as an apprentice in 1921. He is a talented acoustics technician and the creator of the R13 model.

1955

1921年に見習い職人として〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉に入社したロベール・カレが、この年“R13”の開発に成功しました。

1975

1975

この年に“RC”が登場します。“R13”と“RC”という2つの代表的な機種は、のちに発表される“フェスティヴァル”、“プレスティージュ”の原型となります。“プレスティージュ”は現在E♭クラリネットからベース・クラリネットまで広く展開されています。

1981

〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉は、1760年創業のロンドンの企業〈ブージー&ホークス〉の一員となります。工場はしだいに近代化され、近年の動向に合わせて最新技術を受け入れていきますが、独自の高い技術を持つ伝統は変わることなく維持し続けています。

〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉は“グリーンライン”の開発に成功し、ブランドとしても商標登録を行いました。“グリーンライン”は、モザンビーク産のグレナディラ粉末を再生した新素材が原材料に用られており、楽器の持つ音響特性を100%維持し、信頼性と耐久性を兼ね備えています。

2004

この年、“R13”系統の新たなラインナップとして“トスカ”が登場しました。この楽器はミシェル・アリニョンをはじめ、世界中の名だたる演奏家の協力を得て完成しました。

2005

この年は、“ビュッフェ・クランポン・グループ”の名を冠した新グループの発足によって、記念すべき年となりました。改革に向かって前進し続けたことにより、そのブランド名がグループとして確立されたのです。演奏家達の飽くなき探究心と要求に答えるため、〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉はそのノウハウと活動の幅をサクソフォーンやダブル・リード、そしてステューデント・モデルの発展へと広げていきました。

2006

ビュッフェ・クランポン・グループはヨーロッパの歴史ある二大金管楽器ブランド〈アントワンヌ・クルトワ〉(1803年創業)と〈ベッソン〉(1837年創業)を仲間に迎えました。

2008

The acquisition of a historical factory manufacturing clarinets located in la Couture Boussey in the Eure department (France) enables the company to expand Buffet Crampon’s production and to launch a new high-end student clarinet, the E11 France.

2010

〈ビュッフェ・クランポン〉はドイツマルクノイキルヒェンにある工場を新たに仲間に加え、ステューデント・モデルのオーボーとステューデント・クラリネットの開発を可能にしたことで、さらに独自の発展を続けています。

グループは、サクソフォーンの〈ユリウス・カイルヴェルト〉とバスーンの〈ヴェンツェル・シュライバー〉という2 大ブランドと新たに提携することで、管楽器製造分野における事業の成長を続けます。

In collaboration with our workshops and internationally renowned clarinetists, Paul Meyer worked on the research project for developing new acoustics, resulting in the Divine clarinet. This new range of clarinet represents a major step forward in Buffet Crampon’s history, by fusing technical expertise with unparalleled craftsmanship in French wind instrument manufacturing.

In the same year, Buffet Crampon testers and artistic advisors, masters and soloists from the greatest international orchestras, combined their energy and created Orfeo, the new oboe in Green LinE, which distinguishes itself through its innovative design and outstanding acoustics.

2012

The Buffet Crampon Group becomes Buffet Group. This new identity brings together all group brands with one single vision, to be the “Global Reference in Wind Instruments”.

2013

Senzo, destined to be the new standard in professional alto saxophones, is an essential step towards the renewal of Buffet Crampon saxophones. It faithfully reflects the combination of French musical instrument making know-how with state of the art technology to meet today’s musical demands.

Jérôme Perrod appointed CEO of Buffet Group.
