Szilvia Pápai
Oboe Soloist at the Konzerthausorchester Berlin
Szilvia Pápai, born in Hungary, received her first oboe lessons from her mother when she was 9 years old.
She completed her music studies at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy in Budapest.
The winner of international chamber music competitions was a member of the Budapest Festival Orchestra under Iván Fischer and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under the direction of Claudio Abbado for several years.
Szilvia Pápai moved to Berlin in 1998, where she was a scholarship holder of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic for 2 years.
At the end of her academy time, she was elected to the Konzerthausorchester Berlin as solo oboist, where she has played since then.
Szilvia Pápai has been trusting Buffet Crampon since 2018.
