Amy Zoloto

Bass Clarinet, New York Philharmonic

Clarinetist Amy Zoloto joins the New York Philharmonic for the 2016-2017 season as Bass Clarinet/Utility Clarinet after holding the same position with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. She previously performed with the New York Philharmonic before moving to Toronto in 2013. Before coming to New York City, she was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Zoloto is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, studying there with Larry Combs, retired principal clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and did further studies with Frank Kowalsky.Ms. Zoloto has performed and toured with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Metropolitan and New York City opera companies, the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, and the American Symphony Orchestra. Amy has participated in the Bard Music Festival, the Colorado Music Festival, and Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan. As a chamber music performer, Ms. Zoloto has appeared in New York Philharmonic chamber concerts, was a member of the Sylvan Winds, and toured Europe with the Jeunesse Musicale Wind Quintet.As a teacher, she has conducted master classes at Manhattan School of Music, coached the New York Youth Symphony, and was an adjunct professor at University of Florida, Gainesville.Amy Zoloto is a Buffet Crampon USA performing artist.
