Former Deputy Principal Oboe, Sapporo Symphony Orchestra

After graduating from Kunitachi College of Music, he joined the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.
In 1982, he was the soloist in Haydn’s Sinfonia concertante at the concert of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra.
In 1985, he formed the Holzblazer Ensemble Sapporo and started his chamber music activities.
In 1987 he studied as a researcher at the Hamburg State Opera Orchestra in Germany.
After returning to Japan in 1988, he returned to the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, and later became a soloist, giving a recital at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in 1995.
In 1995 he gave a recital at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, which was highly acclaimed, and in the same year the Holzblazer Ensemble Sapporo was awarded the Dogin Cultural Foundation’s Art and Culture Encouragement Prize.
In 2008, he started the ensemble group Sora with young musicians from Sapporo and the surrounding area.
He was Deputy Principal Oboe of the Hokkaido Symphony Orchestra until 2020.
