Olivier Hue

Professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Lyon

Graduated from Grenoble, Lyon and Boulogne-Billancourt (oboe and writing) Conservatories, Olivier Hue perfects himself with François Leleux in Munich’s Conservatory.

Member of the Si noir que Bleu improvisation group, he also performs as a chamber musician in quintet (Le Quintuor), in a reed trio (Le Trio de Roseau, laureate of the concours de musique de chambre de Guidel), in a double reed quarter (performance on Les Métamorphoses from Ovide), and in duos with the pianists Manuel Schweizer, Nicolas Jouve, Catherine Marruedo-Vernay, Anne-Elisabeth Tauleigne, and with the organists Yves Lafargue and Gabriel Marghieri.

He is also invited in numerous orchesters (Orchestre de Chambre of Genève, Ensemble Orchestral of Grenoble, Ensemble Instrumental de la Primatiale of Lyon, Orchestre National of Lyon…).

Olivier teaches the oboe at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Lyon since 2001, and directs the Lug Double Reed Band, double reed ensemble from Lyon, with which he multiplies projects about mingling arts and styles.

Olivier is very involved in the French Oboe Association (AFH), for which he volunteered to prepare the next Rencontres Européennes des Anches Doubles in Lyon.

Olivier Hue has been trusting Buffet Crampon since 2010.
