Buffet Crampon USA 2016 Summer Clarinet Academy

The mission of the Buffet Crampon USA 2016 Summer Clarinet Academy is to offer an outstanding summer educational clarinet seminar to talented student clarinetists 18-26 years of age. The student/teacher ratio will be 4:1. The low student teacher ratio will offer a unique opportunity for students to live and work closely with the internationally acclaimed Artist Faculty in a unique and intimate setting.

When: July 11-16, 2016
Where: University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Curriculum & Events:

Daily private instruction: Each student receives one lesson from every member of the artist faculty.

Daily master classes: Afternoons are devoted to in-depth masterclasses taught by artist faculty members.

Private rehearsal/practice time: Private rehearsal and practice time are part of the daily schedule of events. Piano-accompanied rehearsal time is scheduled in order for students to prepare for Academy student recitals. Staff accompanists are assigned to perform with Academy students.

Visit to the Buffet Crampon USA headquarters: Students will have an opportunity to test instruments in the Buffet Crampon professional clarinet line. Personal instrument adjustment will be provided by Head Woodwind Technician Bruce Marking.

Instrument Technology classes: A comprehensive hands-on seminar Instrument Technology Program led by Buffet Crampon Head Woodwind Technician Bruce Marking will focus on instrument maintenance, adjustment, design and manufacture.

Evening recitals/activities: Evenings will feature recitals by Academy Artist Faculty and Academy students. The Academy will also host several informal social events attended by students, artist faculty and administrators.
