Davide Lattuada started playing the clarinet at the age of fifteen and studied with Primo Borali at the Milan conservatory. He was a member of the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi (now known as ‘laVerdi’) in Milan from 1993 to 2005, and regularly performed with the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala from 1998. In 2005, he joined the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, a post he relinquished when he was appointed bass clarinettist with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in August 2006.
Since 2010, Lattuada has played a clarinet set built by the French maker Buffet Crampon, donated to the orchestra by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s Freundeskreis Schweiz (Swiss society of friends). In his free time, Lattuada is an avid chess player.
